King Edward Avenue Forum, May 2007

On May 31st, 2007, the King Edward Avenue Forum was held at La Nouvelle Scène on King Edward Avenue. About 100 people including representation from the community’s MP, MPP, and city councilor attended the meeting. The forum featured a walkabout on King Edward, an excellent slide show, specific questions for the panel of politicians, and an open microphone session with the rest of the community. This was a very successful event for the Lowertown community and is being followed up with action from both the King Edward Avenue Task Force and the politicians involved.
